Hi all. There are two areas on on my boat non-skid that I want to really clean. One area is chewing gum: my toddler got some on his shoe at the boat ramp. The second area is a Bonita blood stain: we were fileting Bonita to use as strip bait and I must not have gotten to that spot quickly enough.
I use Woody Wax and Woody Wax boat soap regularly, and before and after every fishing trip I use Starbrite Non-Skid Cleaner deck cleaner with PTEF. These products are not making any progress on cleaning the gum, nor the blood stains. For brushes, I use either the West Marine soft blue brush or the Shurhold yellow, medium deck brush.
How do I get these two areas of non-skid clean again?
Thanks

"Goo Gone" spray gel. WalMart.

Your finger nail or a plastic spudger work well to dislodge dirt stuck in non-skid.

Soft scrub with bleach, nylon brush, elbow grease. Rinse well.

Avoid the recommended abrasive cleaners. Goo Gone will work well with the chewing gum as will cooking oil like Pam but oil on non-skid may not be smart.
Fish blood is another matter. Perhaps an undiluted liquid detergent such as Dawn on a rag will work. Let the rag remain directly on the stain for a half hour followed by a scrubbing with a fingernail brush.
I avoid fish blood stains by an immediate rinse with a bucket full of sea water. I have no experience with cleaning dry blood but would try the Dawn if I had that problem.
