Wheel Spinner Knob for Dauntless 170

Postby dbeach » Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:34 am

Hi... I just bought a new Dauntless 170 and I am finding the hydraulic steering pretty stiff. I am looking to get a spinner knob, aka suicide knob for my steering wheel. I was going to get the Edson Powerknob, but it will not fit the Whalers padded 1" 1/4 steering wheel. My search is only finding really cheap options with bad reviews. Any recommendations on a quality knob that will work with my setup and not end up breaking? Thanks!

If new is truly "new", you should visit the service department to check your steering. When operating correctly, hydraulic steering is not stiff. It is silky smooth.

You should use a spinner knob for close quarter maneuvering. My product of choice was the universal type for trucks. ~$50. The price of an Edison brand is absolutely stupid.

Check NAPA, Advance, Autozone et al.

Edson makes good stuff but my wheel knob came from Tractor Supply for $20.00.
