Hi experts,
I have been searching for a smaller Boston Whaler and found this on Craigslist:
https://texoma.craigslist.org/boa/6648482242.htmlShould I buy it at that price? I will be using it mostly for fishing and tubing on a big lake. However, I would like also to take it to Gaveston bay (Texas) or Destin Fl a few times a year.
Please give me your opinions. Thanks.

What is your budget?
Have you ridden in a 13 in any kind of rough water?

Unfortunately no I have not ridden in a 13 footer before. However, I chose this size because I wanted to make sure it fits my garage with some room to spare. My budget is $10K.
Thanks.

If it were me with a $10,000 budget I would be looking for classic Montauk 17 for your use. Better in choppy water but it would fit in an average garage.

Thanks Con. I have been looking for a 17 Montauk as well, but it’s really tough to find one in good condition AND is not overpriced.

Bevo, keep looking and have your check book ready. Today I saw a decent Montauk at local Whaler dealer for $7900.00 with no trailer. Fresh water boat.
