E-TEC Origins from the perspective of SkiDoo

Thought this would be interesting for Jim and others. This is an article from the SkiDoo perspective, but details some of the history on how BRP bought Evinrude and incorporated into their product line.

Thanks for posting the link to an interesting article.

Somewhere in that timeline the Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) business entity was created as a separate operation distinct from Bombardier, the company making commercial passenger jet airliners and modern railroad passenger train cars and engines.

George Broughton’s comments are quite interesting. They remind me of a conversation I had over lunch some years ago with Bob Dougherty, who told me that Ford Motor almost bought Boston Whaler at one point.
