Q1: Are the hulls of 2018 150 SUPER SPORT and the 150 MONTAUK different?
If I recall correctly, there was a difference in the hull shape of the pre-2018 150 SUPER SPORT and the 150 MONTAUK: the 150 SUPER SPORT had a slightly deeper V-hull. I also understand that the 150 SUPER SPORT and 170 SUPPER SPORT have been discontinued in favor of the new 160 SUPER SPORT. I am considering both 2018 150 boats: the SUPER SPORT (about $7,000 cheaper) and the 2018 150 MONTAUK.

Re: 150 SUPER SPORT and 150 MONTAUK Hull Design
Jkcam--the 150 Montauk actually has the deeper hull/keel at 16 degrees vs the Super Sport at 14 degrees. Both boats weight 950-lbs dry.
We have a 2008 150 Montauk with the Mercury 60 EFI BigFoot. I can’t say enough about that boat. For a 15-foot boat, it does so many things well. After 10 years on Cape Cod, in a saltwater environment, it still looks and runs like new. I can’t imagine how the new 2019 can be any better.

I agree with mcfam that the 150 Montauk is a great little boat. I too have the 50 year anniversary edition and it is a nice boat although slightly under powered.
The New 2018/19 design is different as evidenced on the Boston Whaler website where you can chose between a 150 Montauk and a 150 Montauk 2018.
Also the 2018 shows as 100 lbs more than the 2008-2017 Montauk being 950 lbs and the 2018 being 1050 lbs dry (no engine) but the older has a higher swamp and weight capacity.
Easy to compare on the website https://www.bostonwhaler.com/family-overview/montauk-boat-models/
IMO I think the Montauk is more versatile than a SS
