Is [a 1979 Boston Whaler REVENGE] hull [too] old for offshore trips ?

The [1979 REVENGE] hull looks great. The boat took some water inside. I am concerned about what [water retention] does to the foam.

[The REVENGE is a] 21-foot--the best I can tell.

So far I have just looked at pictures and am trying to decide to buy or not. I have had two other Boston Whaler boats, but I really like the banana boat hull.
