2005 130 SPORT: Bow Rails, Drawings

Postby grnordstrom » Sun Dec 30, 2018 1:40 pm

Hi All. Where can I find a set of bow rails for a 2005 130 SPORT?

Or, failing that, find a set of drawings for them?

Thanks,
Ray

I don't think Boston Whaler has published a set of drawings that would allow you to fabricate a bow railing. But you can check to see what they have published by following the procedure described in this separate article:

How to use the WHALER.COM Website To Locate Drawings

I doubt there is any source for replacement railings other than a Boston Whaler authorized dealer. I would be very surprised if there were vendors or fabricators that kept railings for this 13-year-old boat in stock and on the shelf. I would expect the replacement market to be very small.

Does the boat that will get these new railings already have a railing?

Hi jimh,
Thanks for your reply. Yes,it has the side rails. I've had a 15 with both front and side rails and currently have a 20 and a 17 with both. I like um. They really make an already good looking boat look better.
I thought I'd call BW in Fla to ask about drawings. I have a really good stainless guy(welder) who can fabricate them from a picture I have but drawings would be nice. The real thing would be better but you're right, there are none out there that I've been able to find.
