Montauk Steering Wheel Size, Vendor

Postby Mattwarner » Wed Jan 02, 2019 6:35 am

[What is] the correct size steering wheel for a classic Montauk?

I purchased a steering wheel on-line, but it is only 13.5-inch in diameter and looks odd. I believe the correct one is 18-inch-diameter. I want to confirm before buying a new one.

Recommend a good source. I want one with the Boston Whaler center cap.

A Boston Whaler logo on the center cap will probably have to come from Boston Whaler or some boutique supplier. I don't think you can get that with an off-the-shelf steering wheel.

I purchased a center cap from an on-line auction website for $30 that seems to be high quality.

I think Walt at Blackduck can make you a wood insert for the wheel. Shoot him an email blackduckgallery@verizon.net
