Looking for opinions on the decipher of this HIN.
This appears to be a GUARDIAN but may have had modifications to appear like a GUARDIAN.
How do I confirm the model?

J9 = month and year of production;
J = October
9 = 1999
00 = model year; 2000
Production sequence
Prefix 8C: 25-foot model
Suffix 604: 604th in the sequence
This is all explained in the FAQ.
The HIN should be on a 2000 model year 25-foot hull built in October 1999.
The recreation division probably was no longer building boats on the classic 25-foot OUTRAGE design then; the boat may be a commercial or government division build.
The HIN does not always contain information that defined a specific model; it usually just defined the hull, and exactly how the hull was fitted-out would not be indicated in the HIN.
