1999 160 DAUNTLESS: Source for Replacement Plug

I have a 1999 Dauntless 160 in the United Kingdom, and I need to replace a plastic [plug or seal or bung]

The U.K. guys say it’s not replaceable. I hope a reader here may know of a replacement.

The plug or seal [or bung] is made with a slotted nylon thread top. The slot enabling the threaded plug to be tightened or loosened has worn away, so this plug is now useless.

Where in the United States could I reach by telephone to order one?

If no other readers comment, try to contact Boston Whaler customer support by email.

https://www.bostonwhaler.com/marketing/contact-customer-service/

That page is a hard to find on the WHALER.COM website. I am not sure from where it is linked. I found it with a GOOGLE search.

Also try contacting a Boston Whaler dealer that has a great reputation for providing service on odd parts. Contact

The replacement plug-only looks like Moeller Replacement Plug For Transom Drain : #20304-10.

I cannot be sure it's the right one, but that part looks close to the image you posted. That part is available at many online retailers, e.g., Discount Marine Supplies has them for $6.42.

Perhaps FRONTIER is suggesting this part and vendor:

You can also buy them on Amazon, which might be simpler if delivery to the U.K, is needed. Here is a listing:

To lengthen the service life of the new plug try not to over tighten it. For the past twenty years I have used a coin in the plug slot on our boats and the plugs remain in like new condition.
