FCC Makes HUGE Mistake with GPS Ruling

See an informed opinion about the recent FCC ruling to allow LEGATO to re-purpose their frequency allocation in the L-band (used for satellite communication) to create terrestrial strong signal services that will interfere with GPS reception:

This decision apparently was made during the COVAD-19 crisis period, and perhaps was intended to sneak by without much notice. It is an awful decision which only serves to deliver profit to one entity at the expense of all GPS users in the USA.
I encourage readers to become familiar with this decision and to contact their congressional representative and senators to voice their displeasure.

The profiteers at LEGATO have been trying for years to get their frequency allocation in the L-Band repurposed from satellite communication--inherently very weak signal work--to terrestrial high-power very strong signal transmission. There is no justifiable basis for this re-purposing of the frequency allocation except to allow the owners of LEGATO to make money and profit from an otherwise not very profitable frequency allocation they bought for pennies. This decision is awful and reeks of private influence on a government agency decision. No one benefits except LEGATO. All GPS users will be put at risk of interference.
