GP Trailer of Doral, Florida

Postby MyOutrage » Tue Sep 29, 2020 2:51 pm

[Seeks comments that are based on firsthand experience with the manufacturer] GP Trailers of Doral, Florida.

BACKSTORY: I’m in the northeast, and need a trailer for my 25-footbboat. The trailer has to be a bit of a low ride bunk. I need to fit boat and trailer in a barn with limited clearance.

Recommendations, especially in the northeast are welcome, too.

Thanks

There are many custom trailer makers in FL. Most buy the same parts and assemble basically the same trailer. They will usually build to your specs as well. Just tell them that you need shorter bunks and they will put shorter bunks on it. You might want to get the golf cart type rims & tires for a much lower ride height. They are very popular down here for shallow ramps but still highway legal.
On my 24th Whaler. Currently in the stable: 86 18' Outrage, 81 13' Sport(original owner), 87 11' Sport, 69 Squall(for sale cheap).

Thank you. [I] didn’t know about golf cart type rims. [I will look] into [them].

BIGGIE—do you have experience with GP Trailers?

There is not a single post before yours regarding GP trailers in the archives going all the way back to 2002.

If I was in Florida, I would contact Continental.

When I was in the Northeast, I selected LoadRite trailers of PA. Give them a call and see what they can build you.

Again, there are tons of trailer builders in Florida. [GP TRAILERS] looks like every other trailer company down here.

TROPIC TRAILER in Ft Myers are great trailers, along with Owen & Sons, St. Pete or Rolls trailers in same area. The list is never ending, but the ones I listed are more known nationwide.
