I need a for a trailer for my 1988 [27 Full Cabin with Whaler Drive].

Trailer measuring tools all say to measure [a length] from the bow hook to the drain plug.

The Whaler Drive with [twin engines] is like an extension of the main hull. [To me the Whaler Drive] should be included in the total measurement.

The length is 27[-feet without including the Whaler Drive] or 29.5[-feet with including the Whaler Drive.]

[Inferred question: which measurement should be used to specify the trailer length?]

Also, I'm calculating the total carried weight to be about 11,500 lbs.

Whaler Drives are not factored into the trailer length-over-all.

I have never seen a trailer set up for a Boston Whaler boat with a Whaler Drive that provided support for the Whaler Drive. If you look at the geometry of the boat hull keel compared with the Whaler Drive bottom, you should see the two are not in the same plane.

I have a 22-foot hull with Whaler Drive. The Whaler Drive hangs off the back of the trailer.

Figure 2. The end of the trailer frame is at the same point as the red taillight lamp. The trailer bunks extend a few inches farther aft. The Whaler Drive is not supported by the trailer bunks or keel rollers.

You'll need a triple-axle trailer, a 2500-HD truck, and a permit to tow it, most likely.

Many thanks for the information.

I got a quote on LOADMASTER brand trailer.

I am aware of the permit needed in some states due to width.

I will post results of my search to fund a trailer for a Whaler Drive boat.
