1975 BW newport

I'm pretty sure this is a rare boat. It's a 1975 Newport. From my understanding the first half of 75, the Newport were smaller(16.7) like mine and then they changed it to 17ft. Probably the cleanest you will find for this year, new interior brand new mills canvas bimini top in parchment to match interior color. Also new RED rub rail that looks admirable, sitting on original 75 Lil guy trailer that I just finished giving a nice freshening up. New springs, axle, rims, tires and bearings. FULLY rebuilt 1990 evinrude 90hp vro. I have a pretty good idea of what i would be willing to take for it but will entertaining offers so don't be shy. Contact me with any questions. A really beautiful example of a true classic! Boat is located on long island.

The 16' and 17' hulls both had the same exact same 16'7" centerline length, so one was not smaller than the other. Whaler called the 16'7" Hulls 16's up through the 1975 model year. These were known as non smirked hulls. In 1976 Whaler released the updated 16'7" hull and it had the bow smirk. To denote the epoch change in the 16'7" hull and to give it greater perceived model size separation between the new hull and the newly released 15 models, they called the 1976 smirked hulls 17's and that remained until 2002 when that hull ceased production.

If you have an idea of what you want for the boat, why don't you share what you think that number it. That will help to determine if a prospective buyer is willing to talk offers. Otherwise it is just a game of hide the weenie, and can be a turn off to those who might be interested..

Photos would help too. They likely did not load because they were sized too big. If they are resized to under 1000x1000 pixels they should load.

Rare doesn't always mean more $$$$
Sometimes just not as popular...
