WTB - 20-24' Whaler in Midwest/West

Postby Tacky79 » Wed May 08, 2019 12:52 pm

Looking for a used Whaler to leave in WI for our summer / fall vacations. I'm open to a lot, but ideally:

21-24' Dauntless seems to fit our needs best (skiing, cruising, fishing, swimming)
Outrage/Vantage/Dual Console models would also work well
Montauk 210 would be OK, but they seem to command a lot of $ and for Lake Michigan, I'm thinking Dauntless/Outrage is a better fit.
I already have a Montauk 190, so I might decide to leave that in WI and buy something smaller and cheaper for use in Colorado.
Not intersted in cuddy models (Conquest, etc.) at this time

Desired features:
T-top for shade
Ski pole pylon
Good to great shape
Trailer
Repowered boats are fine by me
Budget? Hard to say. A good/great price for the right boat is my goal. Not going to spend $75k unless it's a severely discounted brand new Dauntless 240!

I'm open to old or new, but storing it away from home, means I really won't have a lot of tools or lots of time to really work on an unreliable boat.

I've been watching Boat Trader and Facebook marketplace for Whalers and Gradys, but nothing has really come up.

Willing to look at boats in the Midwest (WI, IL, MI, IA, IN, MN, MO, KS, CO, NE)

Thanks all.
