It's a 1966 with the original gel coat. The fiberglass repair on hull bottom is completed, it needs other fiberglass repair in the interior and paint. On the interior there is one spot that looks like someone may have dropped an outboard motor on it. There are no soft spots, it's chipped and has the spider-like cracking. As far as my husband can tell it has been in fresh water. He did do a sand on the entire exterior when he did the bottom hull fiberglass repair. In doing so, he took the Whaler decal(s) off but you can still see them faintly. The hull stencil number from Whaler is still visible. The metal plate on the rear is there, also. There is no bottom paint. You could be on the water and address the cosmetics later.
The trailer is good to go with new bearings, new carpeted bunks, new wiring and new submersible lights.
I spoke with Boston Whaler and it was delivered to Stanford Marine (out of business a few years back), Memphis, Tennessee in December of 1966. We bought it from a farmer in Arkansas. His brother, also a farmer, in Missouri had owned it before him.
In Tennessee boats are not titled. You can register it if you plan on using public waters. We didn't because we have access to a private lake owned by family. We will give a bill of sale.
My husband doesn't have the time to finish this project.
