For-sale: a 1966 16-foot Boston Whaler boat that I have owned since the mid-2000's. Since 2015 I have used this boat as my primary boat.

In 2015 I installed an E-TEC 60-HP engine that I purchased new from my local Evinrude dealer. The E-TEC engine is under warranty until December 2019, and I believe that the warranty is transferable. The E-TEC 60!has provided four years of exceptionally reliable and economical service.

At the time of engine installation, new rigging, console, steering system, battery, fuel tank and fuel line were installed. The battery is a group 24 Cabelas AGM. The fuel tank is a Mirax model D1212 12 gallon aluminum tank. The steering helm and cable is a Teleflex no feed back system. There is a Blue Seas 12-volt accessory switch plate and a Blue Seas main battery switch. I also installed a Rule 750 GPH automatic bilge pump. I just recently changed the fuel line and primer bulb for maintenance purposes- I like to do that every 4 years or so.

The boat is in fair but what I would consider solid condition. I have trailered this boat multiple times to Vermont and have also trailered to the St. Lawrence River and Lake George. I have regularly used this boat for fishing in Barnegat Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The past two years it has been trailered but the two years prior the boat was stored in a slip. I just launched the boat yesterday for the 2019 season. It is currently in a slip.

I took a ride yesterday and this boat is just plain fun. I removed all my fishing accessories and electronics and what is left is a simple plain skiff that is very easy to maintain and operate.

I am asking $6,200 for the boat and engine combination. I will sell the 60 E-TEC separately if someone desires a great engine for a classic Boston Whaler 16 or 15. Bring your boat by and we'll install the engine- I have an engine lift to accomplish that. I have shipped an engine in the past- I am not opposed to that- depends on the circumstances so if you are interested lets talk.

Thank You for your interest in this great boat. Location is Pine Beach, NJ. Please PM me or email me for discussions- my email is available through this site.

Thanks OHSupra it's been a great boat. I took a ride last week during the week on a wonderful weather day and it was just plain fun.

For my asking price I may be able to deliver it to you depending on where in Ohio you are. I'm not opposed to a couple day road trip- I have a good trailer so transporting the boat is easy.

My preference is to sell the engine and keep the boat for a future remove everything renovation. This is definitely a good solid hull that is a prime candidate for a comprehensive spruce up. It's a boat I would like to keep for a long time but will sell the combo at my asking price.

Boat is sold. A bittersweet day.

It's been a pleasure and an honor to own this boat for 14 years or so. 5 different engines, multiple seating/console arrangements. Electric trolling motors.

8 trips to Lake Champlain, 1 to the St Lawrence River Clayton NY, 1 to Lake George. 8,000 miles or so of highway travel plus many trips outside Barnegat Inlet to fish through November chasing stripers.

Since childhood I have loved this hull. It was always a dream boat of mine in the early/mid 1970's as a kid. The boat is like a trusty Labrador Retriever. Playing on the water is what it does and does it with joy.

Now as antique as I am (I'm born 1965) the boat will be spending this winter down on the southwest part of the Florida gulf coast. Instead of hunting stripers this November the boat will be traveling south on I 95 to play in the Florida winter sun.

New owner is a great guy- gave him all the info about continuouswave.com and I am sure he will be looking or participating soon.

continuouswave.com was an exceptional resource for me over the past 14 years for working on this boat. I can't thank Jim and all others for your contributions to this wonderful boat called a Boston Whaler.

I think a bit south of Tampa/St Pete Nick. Good guy I think you would like him. I've encouraged him to participate here- maybe you guys could get together over the winter.

Up until last year my parents had a place just north of Tampa. I always wanted to bring the boat down and play around Tampa Bay and the gulf. Now the boat will see the gulf! Love that area-did some fishing a couple years ago around Honeymoon Island and it was a blast.

Where in Lake Champlain do you boat? Iv'e been going there every year since 74 for a week or two.
I just picked up my new to me 88 15' sport from there. Been sitting in a barn since 94.

L78steve: typically North Hero/Alburg Tongue and one stay in St Albans. The Inland Sea and the Alburg Passage are my typical boating areas. Since 2013 I have tried to make two trips a year but last year one quickie and this year probably not heading up.

I absolutely love it up there. Which part of the lake do you frequent?

We go with many other families. People I grew up with. The area is down by by the new bridge across from Port Henry NY.
It's the only place we can find with enough cabins to accommodate us all.
But Burlington and Burton Island are favorite stops also.

I've driven through where you stay but never spent a bunch of time there. Stayed in the Ticonderoga NY area of Lake George a couple times and had the boat on Northern Lake George.

My daughter went to University of Vermont in Burlington so I have spent a bunch of time in Burlington. The whole state/region is a fantastic place so I like to get there as often as possible.

Hi,
I'm the new owner of the 16. Just put a new trailer under the boat for the trip down to Fort Myers Beach. I'm hoping to get it there the first or second week of November. I can't wait to start fishing the Gulf with my new old Whaler!
