For sale is a 1978 Montauk with a 70 hp 2-stroke, c. 1990 Evinrude engine. Wonderful engine. Stainless steel propeller. Tilt and trim function as intended. It comes with a custom-made, 18-gallon fuel tank, as well as the two original 6-gallon tanks.
Included in the sale are a Wm J. Mills Sunbrella Suntop with boot (stainless steel frame) and a Wm J. Mills Mooring Cover.
The trailer is in good working order.
What is the catch? I took off the teak pieces to sand and varnish them and I never finished the project and I have misplaced the screws that hold the teak pieces in place. Despite the pandemic, real estate sales in the NC Triangle are keeping me so busy that I do not have the time to work on the boat and I need to re-claim the space in my garage. With just a little work on the teak trim pieces and the switches (and the console in general) this could be a $10,000 boat. Someone who responds quickly is going to get a great deal.
The boat is located in Durham, NC. Call or text me at 919-271-1404 for photos and more details.
