APPRAISAL - 1992 SPORT 13

Postby mjnplz » Sat Dec 05, 2020 11:12 am

Would appreciate appraisal opinions for 1992 13' Super Sport [actually a SPORT] with 2014 40hp Tohatsu 4-stroke with low hours (less than 200).

Engine is in great shape, starts easy, runs great.

Whaler would use some TLC in that the wood is solid but needs varnish / coating. Seats are stained, but not cracked or damaged.

Located in Southwest Florida on Gulfcoast. Boat was Wisconsin fresh water unit 2014, then brought to Florida and repowered. Kept on lift and always flushed with fresh water after use.

Please see photos.

Thanks.
MJ

That is a sport, not a super sport. Is there a trailer? Any canvas? I would say [value is] around $5,000. Boat is in need of TLC. Probably add another $1,000 if TLC was taken care of.
On my 24th Whaler. Currently in the stable: 86 18' Outrage, 81 13' Sport(original owner), 87 11' Sport, 69 Squall(for sale cheap).

Thanks for the correction on the Model, and the estimate.

There is a trailer (which I prefer not to sell) and should not be included in the appraisal.

Not including a trailer with a 13 foot boat will make buying it much less attractive to a non local buyer unless they have a trailer already fitted for the boat. A major attraction for small boats is their easy transportability.

Good point. In this case, I'm looking for a fair price to use in a local sale to a known buyer who doesn't need the trailer, but if that sale doesn't work, and I list it, that's an important change I'll need to make.

It all comes down to condition which we really can't see with pics. My appraisal still stands.
