We no longer have a canvas shop in area. My classic 18 whaler has a custom 1 piece rail and rail on console is 54 inches from deck (a bit taller than most) Anyway I cannot get a cover place on the web to make one-any ideas on a mil order place I tried the place in New York- Mills something that made covers for whaler back in the day with no luck as well as cover direct with now luck. My custom sunbrella cover is 23 years old and is losing it.
Any suggestions other than trailering 6 hours to a canvas shop?
Mark

I bought a used cover from Darren that was an excellent deal.
He is pretty good at finding covers.

If I read you correctly, you have a unique cover that is hard to find out of the box (online). -- If you can live without you cover for a couple weeks any decent canvas shop can take your old cover and use it for a pattern. It's a little more expensive, but you'll end up with a carbon copy (assuming reputable shop). -- The downside is you have to go a few weeks (shipping, and shop time) without said cover, AND the shop will unstitch the exsisting cover to get dimensions, etc. (They may sew it back, but if it's failing usually ends up in the trash.)

(I had to do this for custom sailboat cover that went over lifelines, around stays, etc etc.)

It would help to know your location.

There is a good chance a member will have a recommendation for a custom shop.
