1997 Outrage 17 Fuel Vent

Where is the fuel vent located on a 1997 Outrage 17?

I have seen a schematic of a 1998 Outrage 17 with it located on the port side of boat. [Does my 1997 OUTRAGE 17 boat fuel system] have a vent?

Check with Boston Whaler customer service for advice on the location of the fuel tank vent on a 1997 Boston Whaler OUTRAGE 17.

The tank vent on my 1997 Outrage is port side a few inches below the fuel filler cap.

On some late 90s era Boston Whalers the fuel tank vent is incorporated with the fuel fill fitting. That was the case with my 1999 Dauntless. It was an unsatisfactory arrangement because it vented so slowly the fuel tank took a long time to fill. A conventional vent was installed under warranty with a kit provided by Boston Whaler.

This was a wide spread problem with the Dauntless model.
