Outboard Transom Cover

Postby loned » Mon Apr 10, 2017 7:12 pm

I have a 16 SL I use for fly fishing in Baja. We usually fish with one rod on the bow and one on the stern, but at the stern the fly line often gets tangles in the fuel line or steering arm. I can cover [the stern area] with a towel or something similar, but do you know if anyone makes something in the aftermarket for this purpose?

What would be ideal is a hard surface, fiberglass or other, to connect the rear seats into a fishing platform, but even something of heavy vinyl would help to keep the line clear of tangles. A stripping basket is another option of course.
