2002 DAUNTLESS 180 Bow Rail Replacement

Postby NYCJ » Sat Apr 22, 2017 5:55 pm

Over the winter a tree limb feel on the bow rail of my 2002 Dauntless 180. I'd like to replace [the bow railing]. Any suggestions as where I should go for this? Through a Boston Whaler? Does anybody make reproductions? Thanks, Paul

No reproductions as far as I know. Is there any chance of repair? If Boston Whaler can't sell you a replacement perhaps they can identify the vendor.

I would try a local marine fabricator if they are available in your area to fix the bent rail. That's if [the damage is confined to] one part of the rail. If the whole [railing] is bent up, then [buy] through Sue at Twin Cities Marine a replacement bow rail. Sorry to hear about this misfortune. It seems that trees are the nemesis of Boston Whalers and boats in general.
