Hi all--I am doing some repairs on a Boston Whaler OUTRAGE boat. I need some gel coat resin to finish the job. Spectrum currently wants almost $300-per-gallon--and that is their minimum order. I am just doing some patch work so a gallon would be a waste.

Do any of you have some left over gel coat resin?

Better that your unused resin ends up on a hull than in toxic recycle bin.

PETE--thanks for the information about the $300-per-gallon minimum order from Spectrum Color for Boston Whaler DESERT TAN gel coat resin. Spectrum Color used to sell small gel coat patch kits for much less, about $30. I suppose that ten of those would not give you anywhere near a gallon of resin. I hope your appeal finds a willing donor.

While there is a link to a website that offers Spectrum Color DESERT TAN gel coat in quart cans for about $100, is the product actually available from that vendor at that price?
