OMC TURBOJET 115 Carburetor Repair

Postby Pamons12 » Sun Jul 30, 2017 6:00 pm

Hello--unfortunately the carburetor fuel line broke off from the carburetor on an OMC Turbojet 115. [I need] tips on how to fix this. OMC carburetors were pretty universal on most engines until the 2000's. Thank you for any help. Here is a link to some pictures of the broken one and the one that isn't broken:

Check at the excellent resource for Evinrude parts at

SHOP2.EVINRUDE.COM

to see if there is a listing for a more recent engine with those carburetors; you may find that small fitting available there. I browsed under the listing for TURBOJET --> 1994 --> 115 and found something that looks like your broken part. It is listed as:

Callout 5 / PN 0326467 / Description NIPPLE / Price $21.49 USD

Or, visit a good dealer who has been selling and servicing OMC engines for 30-years or more. They may have the part you need or even have a used carburetor.

The first problem will be extracting the damaged fitting from the aluminum cast body of the carburetor. That may take some care to accomplish without causing further damage.
