Our 2004 Nantucket 190 has now had three changes from stock:
--dual batteries [with 120-VAC battery charger]
--leaning post backrest with two rod holders
--Edson solid PowerKnob on steering wheel --my favorite modification
Holes had to be drilled only for the dual batteries; the other modifications were bolt-on.
Thanks to members for helping with replies to my posts. So far we are really happy with the little Boston Whaler; Now on to restoring trailer.--M
[Modification to the battery compartment and the addition of a charger were described and illustrated in another thread. See

Re: 2004 190 Nantucket Modifications
Really Weird. My posts keep changing, even the title. Is that the site admin? If so I am sorry my posts are not to your liking...
Thanks,

Re: 2004 190 Nantucket Modifications
you should get 13 inch three spoke SS wheel with a knob. It will give you much more room between helm and leaning post. its a first thing I do on any whaler I own. Why factory doesnt send them with smaller steering wheel is something I would never understand . Even 34 foot Yellowfin comes with 13 inch.
Re: 2004 190 Nantucket Modifications
I had a smaller SS 3-spoke ones on my last few boats. I even had the Edson ($$$) with cushion back grip and PowerKnob which I liked very much on my last 25ft CC.
