255 CONQUEST Install New Cables to Hardtop
I need to run a new cable up to the hardtop [on a Boston Whaler 255 CONQUEST boat]. Looks like I need to remove the hard shell roof liner. Any tips on how to achieve this without any damage? Many thanks .
Re: 255 CONQUEST Install New Cables to Hardtop
I recommend you contact Boston Whaler customer service for advice on how to access any cable routing paths that extend into the interior of the hard top of your 255 CONQUEST.
Also, you could explore the extensive documentation and drawings of the boat available from WHALER.COM. See
https://www.bostonwhaler.com/boat-ownership/resources/
A drawing does show some details of the hard top, but I don't see the cable path clearly indicated. Cf.:

It would be typical for Boston Whaler to leave a pull cord in any cable path. Perhaps if you remove the breaker panel overhead in the hard top you will find a pull cord which can be used to pull in more wiring.

Many thanks for your reply. It is inside the cabin I need to remove the headliner as to get access to the hole going through to the tubular up top .

Thanks for clarification that your original description of "the hard shell roof liner" is more clearly understood as "cabin headliner."
There is a drawing (at the web resource I mentioned to your in my earlier reply) showing the assembly of the headliner into the cabin. See
http://bostonwhaler.com.s3.amazonaws.co ... t-2005.pdf
Note the parts list shows 26 No. 10 Phillips-head 1.5-inch-long self-tapping screws as CALLOUT 14. Removal of some or all of the 26 screw fasteners will likely be necessary to allow the headliner to be moved out of the way.
