1986 Outrage 18 Rub Rail Replacement

Postby Don SSDD » Sun Feb 11, 2018 9:06 am

I've read the reference on this subject and found kits at Twin Cities and Specialty at $425 to$450. They've gone up a lot from the amount they were when Jim did the reference articles, about triple.

Any there other options that work and cost less? My vinyl base is busted in several places, very brittle from age.

Thanks,
Don

As stated in the reference section, Barbour Plastics in Brockton, Massachusetts was the OEM supplier to Boston Whaler of rubrails and flexible inserts in the 1980s. You can see what is now available at integritymarinecorp.com. Pricing is given on the web site for packages and individual components. I found them to be very helpful in getting a new flexible insert for my 1985 Newport.
