What anti-seize material should I use on the steering helm shaft before installing the wheel? I may want to remove it at some time in the future.
I think I've seen this [topic discussed ] before.
Anti seize material for steering wheel
Re: Anti seize material for steering wheel
I do not find any specific anti-seize compound being previously recommended. I just find two prior threads that mention "anti-seize" may be applied before joining a taper shaft helm input to a steering wheel. No specific brand or formulation is recommended in the prior threads.
Generally the composition of an anti-seize compound is formulated based on the particular metals that are being joined together.
The LOCTITE brand makes several varieties of anti-seize compounds, formulated for different metals being joined. You may find some information that will be useful at
