TASHMOO

Postby matejs123 » Fri Jan 08, 2016 7:20 pm

Hello to all. I may buy [what was later determined to be a used Boston Whaler TASHMOO boat]. I have a good deal on this boat (pictured below), but I m not sure this is even an actual Boston Whaler. Which model do you think it is? The upper deck seems suspicious. Thank you--Matej

It just doesn't look like a Boston Whaler to me.

It sure looks to me like a Boston Whaler Tashmoo model, circa 1972-1973. See: [this image].

I stand corrected. I didn't recognize the hardware on the forward deck.

The TASHMOO model is very nicely illustrated [with several large and very good quality images] and its unusual name explained in a CETACEA page. See

http://continuouswave.com/whaler/cetacea/cetaceaPage52.html

The boat pictured in the first post appears to be a TASHMOO model.

I have also added the TASHMOO to the REFERENCE section detail page of 16/17-foot models.
