Hi fellow boaters.

I need to replace a PATE 27-gallon on-deck fuel tank used on a 2003 170 Montauk. What will be a good substitute?

Will a Moeller 22-gallon tank (UPC739729011454) slide in without any modifications or lifting the seat on a 2003 170 Montauk?

Thanks,
Danny

Please give the dimensions of the available space. Please give the dimension of the new fuel tank you may buy.

If you are referring to this tank: https://www.westmarine.com/buy/moeller--22-gallon-white-above-deck-fuel-tank--11052461, the answer is...yes it fits without modification.

The PATE was 30" long x 19" deep x 14" high. Looks like the Moeller 22 gallon should be fine.
Thanks,
Danny
