floor covering sealant

Postby Vingilot » Tue Jul 17, 2018 8:37 am

I have removed the flooring on a 22 Revenge to replace lines and relocate bilge pump. Have cleaned the area where to flooring reattaches and filled in old screw holes. What type or brand of sealant/gasket tape etc, is recommended ?

A good polysulfide sealant is the recommended type.

Boat Life is the popular brand for sealing screw holes and deck seams. OSI makes many colors but the match for desert tan is no longer available. Some like to go lighter, others darker to hide the dirt.

I use standard blue painters tape. Cutting the tip is key. I use a medium angle and not too big.
