1988 Johnson 88 SPL losing power

Troubleshooting Help: 1988 Johnson 88 SPL. I'm running at 4800 RPM (WOT is 5500) and the engine power drops off to around 4000 RPM. Runs smooth but at reduced power. What am I looking for? I did have a problem last week were I found I had pulled the plug wire off (while removing cover) motor was running on three cylinders. Put the plug wire back together and it ran fine that day. Thanks

I think you still are dropping a cylinder.
