Hello all. I was given a 13' Whaler supposed to be a 1970 model. The transom has been modified and raised to 20". The modification is rotten. I came across some drawings showing the wood in a 13 to look something like a v shape, 22" wide at the top and narrows as it nears the bottom of the hull.
Can any confirm that [my description of what I saw in an unidentified drawing is accurate]?
Where is the serial number located.
How thick is the wood for the transom?
Thank you.

If you found a drawing linked from continuous wave, then that drawing should have the imprint of Boston Whaler. There is no known reason to think a drawing from Whaler would not be accurate. If you wish to question a particular drawing, give the URL to the drawing, as without a URL no one knows what drawing you are asking about.
Read the Reference section article on the 13-footer.

I think it was 19mm marine type plywood.
