1986 Frontier 25 Fuel Tank, Cabin

Postby quickenberger » Wed Oct 30, 2019 6:18 pm

Is there dimensional information on the fuel tank for the 1986 Frontier 25?

I wIll be receiving one soon and want to be prepared to replace the fuel tank since I think it's original.

I am also interested In learning of custom modifications in the cabin to increase seating.

Thank you,

The 1985 catalog lists the Frontier 25's fuel tank as 140 gallons, same as the Guardian 25. The measurements would be identical to the large tank option on the Outrage 25.

Drawings and dimensions of Outrage/Revenge fuel tanks have not been released by Whaler, CPD, or FMT. Only owners who did custom fabrication of a replacement tank have offered measurements. A cursory search of the archives did not return any results.

If you are within two or three states of North Carolina, FMT in Henderson, NC, then https://floridamarinetanks.com can fabricate a replacement (BW-140).

If farther away, pull the existing fuel tank and allow the local fabricator to use it as a template.

Thanks for the info. When I get the boat up here and pull the deck lid I'll see what I have to work with. I've welded my share of new fuel tanks so will have a fab shop do the cutting and bending then I'll do the welding and pressure checking. I can draw up the cad on the tank and post it here for future reference.
