To remove an existing depth sounder, follow the installation instructions in reverse order.

To install a new depth sounder, follow the installation instructions.

Any below the water line holes need to be properly sealed if they won't be reused.

There are many tips and several tricks to replacing a depth finder.

Prior to revealing them, several answers need to be provided.

What are you removing, exactly: Is it:

- a 2" round depth gauge in a panel?
- a GPS Chartplotter/Sounder unit?
- the transducer on the stern and the wire running through the rigging tunnel to the dash gauge?

What are you replacing the depth sounder with? What are the included components?

What is the year and model of your boat?
Who is doing the work?
Do they have basic do-it-yourself skills?
Do you (or they) have access to local marine supply stores?
