2017 130 Super Sport Add Fuel Tank

Postby Voyager » Tue Feb 02, 2021 11:12 pm

I want to install an additional 6.5-gallon fuel tank on my 2017 130 Super Sport.

What parts are needed?

Give me suggestions for installation.

Thank you.

An additional tank is needed. You can use the same hose and bulb. If you want to strap it to the deck, an additional strapping kit would be needed as well. How far are you going that you would need more than 6gal? My 70hp Suzuki would go like 60+ miles on a single tank at cruise. Might be easier to grab a jerry jug when doing extended cruises.
On my 24th Whaler. Currently in the stable: 86 18' Outrage, 81 13' Sport(original owner), 87 11' Sport, 69 Squall(for sale cheap).

I assume the boat already has one 6.5-gallon fuel tank. If you want a second 6.5-gallon fuel tank, I would get another tank that is the same as the first one--unless there is some annoying defect in the design of the first tank.

Is the fuel hose to the engine from the fuel tank connected by a quick-disconnect connector at the fuel tank end of the hose?
