Compass Fluid Cloudy

Postby jeffdcunningham » Fri Apr 15, 2016 5:20 pm

Hi All. I have a 1989 Outrage 20 that I'm spending the spring going through bow to stern. One of the items I need to address is the compass. Last season it started to get cloudy and now you can't see anything. Is this repairable? If not, where could I find another one of comparable quality and fit Thank you for your help---Jeff

If it is the oil, Ritchie compass sells compass oil.

I refilled mine with mineral oil from the drug store. It's worked fine for the past ten years.

[A compass] is repairable, but you to find why the oil leaked out and why you have a leak.
