The 3rd video shows the Outrage 25 moving along at 35 MPH and getting 3.4 MPG. I don't know what an Outrage 25 gets with other modern fuel efficient motors at that speed but that seems like an outstanding efficiency. My 25 foot Pursuit with fuel efficient twin 150s gets about 2.4 MPG at best.

I did not see that on my initial viewing... (iPhone) After looking again I see that @ 47MPH the display had 2.0 MPG (amazing). After I get my twin 2.6l e-tec units rigged we will have something to compare with (although mine has a Whaler Drive).

We really need a fully funded Continuous Wave test laboratory with a fleet of test boats and engines to put these items to bed...

Maybe the guy only had 10 gallons of gas on-board.

All the reports I've seen for the G2s show them to be remarkably efficient at cruise, particularly at fast cruising speeds.

How fast is an Outrage 25 with 300 HP on the transom supposed to go?

My 1982 25 Outrage Cuddy with a super console, standard size OEM leaning post, and two OEM fishing chairs. No bottom paint, two transom mounted transducers, and trim taps.
The engine is a 2012 Evinrude G1 DE300 and 17 Rebel prop.
Top speed with one person, about 40 gallons of gas in the aft tank, and maybe 10 gallons in the forward tank. Is a solid 5900 RPM, and 48 MPH at 1.5 to 1.6 MPG, best cruise is about 3700RPM, returning about 2.8 to 2.9 MPG. This boats top speed is better when the majority of the fuel is in the aft tank, and more bow lift can be achieved. A prop designed to achieve more bow lift should improve speed, but will come with other sacrifices.

An 18" RX4 prop may be a good one to try. They are amazing propellers in many cases.

When I re-powered my 25' Outrage Whaler Drive, currently with twin 1989 Johnson 150 engine, I'm leaning toward a single 300-HP.

My 1991 Outrage 25 WD, Super Console with twin Honda 150's and 100 gal fuel has a top speed of 48 MPH with two people.

The speed of boats with a Whaler Drive cannot be compared to the same hull without the Whaler Drive; the Whaler Drive boats, being longer and heavier, will tend to be slower.
