1987 17-footer with 90-HP

My Whaler is a 1987 Super Sport Limited 17. Powered by a 2003 Johnson-Suzuki 90 four-stroke-power-cycle. This boat is new to me, and I'm bringing it back to glorious condition. The engine manufacturer says that the engine should top out at around 5,500-RPM. It currently reaches 6,300-RPM. The prop is a three-blade 14 X 19-pitch.

Obviously, the prop is too "thin", not enough pitch. Top speed is not important to me versus pulling up a skier. I'm seeking advice on a better prop choice for this set-up.
