Q1: are twin 2017 SUZUKI DF300 engines “too much” for a 2003 275 CONQUEST.
I think the 2003 275 CONQUEST maximum power is specified as 450-HP.

What is too much power? There are thousands of boats successfully operating with more power than the boat is rated for. I believe he weight of the engines is a more critical factor than the horsepower. Horsepower is easily controlled by throttle position.

There is likely a strong correlation between the maximum power rating at 450-HP and the largest four-stroke-power-cycle engine sold by Mercury Marine being rated 225-HP in 2003.
