I have to admire the people in Minnesota that schedule a boating event for Thursday afternoon. I guess good summer weather is so precious in your northern lakes that even a weekday is considered a day for a rendezvous.

Here in Michigan we used to have--back in the halcyon days of the auto industry--a sort of tradition of taking it easy on a Friday, maybe sneaking out early after lunch if the weather was good. But never on a Thursday. Hats of to Minnesota.
