We are in the initial stage of planning another Manhattan Run. No date yet , hope to keep it simple with just a meetup at the Statue and circumnavigate the Island.

I have done the Statue multiple times when I had my 34 and 42, spent several nights each time during the fireworks, 3 times for Operation Sail.
Would be a hoot to do the trip without all the luxuries a bigger boat offers.

So - which island, Liberty Ellis, Governor or Manhattan? I could add Staten Island getting there (from Shark River).

We're starting to give this some serious thought. Hell, who cares about a 650 mile drive if it's for a four hour boat ride AROUND MANHATTAN, (again)....

The weather looks to be perfect. Would love to do this ride, but have a graduation and party to attend. The Hudson, East river, Hells Gate and the Harlem river can get snotty in a hurry. Also busy and boaters tend to be rather nutty. Keep your heads up and eyes open.

I'm looking forward to being there for my second Whaler Run around Manhattan. I trust someone has the Spuyten Duyvil railroad bridge opening taken care of? I don't recall whether it opens on demand or whether it is open all weekend.
