Garmin GNX 21 Marine Instrument Display

Anyone have any experience with this device, Garmin GNX 21?
The LMF-400 I bought, among others things is defective and is being returned.
I'm looking for something similar that will at the least display fuel information (level, use etc)
I added Lowrance fuel level and fuel flow devices to my network. If you use a fuel level sender it removes the ability to use an analog or electronic fuel level info, such as using Yamaha gauges. Usage is limited to the Lowrance MFD's and network.
