I have a 2006 Nantucket and the small bulb that goes behind the bilge dash switch is out. This turns red when bilge is on.

1. What is bulb called in whaler speak?

2. I tried to gently pull switch forward assuming that was the logical way to get to the burnt out one....no luck. How do I access the bulb to remove old and replace with new?

My guess: the indicator lamp in the switch is an LED and is integral to the switch. Get a new switch. Call Boston Whaler customer service for advice on where to get a new switch. I think the switches are the CONTURA series from CARLING TECHNOLOGIES.

If the lamp is an LED, it is quite unusual for it to burn out. Are you certain that the LED has burned out? Perhaps the LED is working and there is a problem in the circuit that is causing it to not be illuminated.
