2004 Montauk 170 Navigation Lamps Not Illuminating

Postby Pennyrose » Fri Aug 17, 2018 7:29 am

[On a 2004 Boston Whaler 170 MONTAUK boat] the [combined sidelights] and [white all-round] running lights are not working.

Give suggestions to repair.
Thanks

If both [lamps] are not working, check the wiring on the back of the switch. Remove each wire, one at a time, and reinstall.

Is anything else not working?

If all electric lamps controlled by a electrical circuit are not illuminating, the most reasonable assumption is there is no electrical power being provided; the alternative would be to assume all lamps failed simultaneously, which seems unlikely.

This electrical circuit is very simple. Analysis of the circuit should easily find the fault. HINT: in any fused circuit that appears to have no electrical power, the first element of the circuit to check is the fuse.
