Old Lowrance Gray Connector Compatible Devices

Postby pcrussell50 » Sat Jul 20, 2019 4:34 pm

My 1998 classic Montauk (Alert 17) has (and came with) an old black-and-white large screen Lowrance SONAR. I'm away from my boat right now, so I can't say which model, but it uses the gray connectors that attach to the back, one for the transducer, one for the paddle wheel speed sensor.

I am perfectly happy with this setup except that the screen has developed lines of missing pixels—more of an irritant than anything else. I see that eBay is flooded with older Lowrance SONARS, some of which may use the same gray connectors. If I could replace mine with one of the same, or maybe even a newer model that still uses the same gray connector format, I'd be thrilled. Is there a source that summarizes which Lowrance SONARS might be compatible with my gray-connector sensor suite?

Peter,
This link may provide the answer to your question:

Lowrance has color coded its connectors, so perhaps Help and Support can answer your question if this page does not.

That is a very great help, thank you. Who knew that Lowrance would keep such a list?
