130 SUPER SPORT Mooring Cover

Postby SS130 » Thu Dec 14, 2017 8:31 am

[Give me] some suggestions for an aftermarket full-cover for daily storage only [for a Boston Whaler 130 SUPER SPORT boat]. I understand quality comes with a price, and Sunbrella covers are more than I wish to spend. Are there any vendors who manufacture similar Sunbrella-material covers that closely fit the 130 SPORT models?

Hello--coverquest.com is a site that offers several brands and prices on covers. I bought a Carver cover and love it, but there are less expensive options on that site. I guessed at the year of your boat. And you need to specify if you have bow and or side rails. Hope this helps.

iboats is another inexpensive solution you can take a look at. I don't know the year of your boat but that website offer several different manufacturers and different fabric suppliers.

My 130 SUPER SPORTS has the bench seat with backrest along with no bow rail. It is a little difficult to find a reasonable price cover for it. I called around and it seems only Mills makes a mooring canvas that will fit.

F82MG -- Is the back seat permanently installed? Does the seat back fold forward?

To facilitate angling our 190 Montauk has no bow rail. Our old Carver cover fits well despite having extra material below the rub rail on the forward half of the Montauk. Carver now makes a cover perfectly fitted for 190 Montauks without a bow rail. Perhaps they now also make something similar for 130 Super Sports.

Yes, the backrest of the seat is permanently installed. I ended up ordering one from Laporte T-Top Boat Cover. They said they have a pattern that will fit and about $400 cheaper than Mills. I will report back when I receive it.
