Considering selling my 2004 Nantucket with new G2 150hp

Postby InVision » Tue May 21, 2019 11:19 am

I am probably going to sell our water front home soon. I am considering selling the 2004 Nantucket with a new ETEC G2 150, as well. All new electronics including Garmin 1042xsv, ICON Touch and ICON Pro gauges. Nema 2000 networked. Boat is immaculate.

Curious how much it might be worth as it has 9 1/2 years of motor warranty and all is mint condition.

Members thoughts?

Thank you

None of my business but I hope y’all are doing this out of choice. I’ve followed your story with this boat and hope you’re doing ok.
The boat is immaculate.

Hey, Yes it is our choice. Trailering is not an option with as the dock boat lift is probably what allowed me to own boats because of my limited mobility. Like I said "considering" selling as if we do sell the waterfront home. My wife really loves the boat and she insisted on taking the helm any time we use her.

The boat is still immaculate as we use a good cover when not in use.

Be Safe !

Pretty boat, and the G2 looks great on it. I always liked that hull style - I abhor the "Euro transom" that most hulls have today.

At a guess, on a reasonably quick sale you'll top out at about the amount you paid for the new motor - sad, but that's the reality of repowering. If you can be patient, the right person might go a few thousand more.

Well then that is easy call, if it is only worth the motor cost which was $12K I will be keeping it. I have $32K invested in the boat, trailer, new motor, new electronics, new trim tabs and accessories.

M -

I would estimate 22-27K.

The Outrage 190 is currenty still in production and not much different than the 2004 design and that helps.

What prop did you end up going with?

Hi Phil, I still have a Viper 18P. I get 44-46 mph WOT depending on water conditions, I can tweak some more but I normally just use the ETEC G2 Auto Trim feature. Lots of hole shot. If we end up keeping I will be trying some 4 blade props for a lower cruise speed. Still have to raise motor one more hole up which I plan to do soon as my dealer can get me in for service.

Wow, you got a good deal on that motor - I was figuring 15 for the motor and another couple for rigging. So I'm not too far from the low end of Phil's range - if you are lucky enough or patient enough to find the right buyer. Maybe you'd do better - it's the right time of year to sell, for sure. Best of luck in any case!

If they look they will like. New ones are running around $65K...

It is not a forced sell. Looking for the right buyer to take care of her :-)

I hope you keep it. You’re a wealth of information regarding the 190 Nantucket.

What town do you live in, by the way; it looks nice.
