Outrage 21 Wood Locating Diagram

Postby Driller » Thu Jan 21, 2016 9:19 am

Does anyone have access to the wood location diagrams for the 21' banana hulls? I haven't been able to locate them with a forum/google search. I am considering purchasing a T top, and doing a lot of highway trailering, I'm concerned about solid anchoring points. Thanks!

Good luck..if you find one, you might send it to Jim Hebert to include in the resources library here at Continuouswave. The closest I've found is the old manuals: http://media.channelblade.com/EProWebsi ... l%2070's(2).pdf - page 15

With only 1/2" plywood under the deck and in limited spaces, I personally would not put a T-Top on unless I did a system of epoxy anchors into the floor that could be drilled into to set screws into.

Jeff, just what I was looking for. The bases of the T top are 38" apart which should put all or most of the screws into the wood. Considering that its only 1/2" plywood, at a minimum I would fill the screw holes with epoxy and set good, coarse threaded screws before the epoxy cures, and I would bed the bases with 5200, and bolt at least one strut on each side into the console. I think that if the screws bite well it'll probably be OK - and I'll set ratchet straps in all four corners when trailering at highway speeds. Thanks! Paul

It shouldn't affect my plan, but after a second look, I think this diagram was for the hulls that were built before the 40 gallon fuel tanks were set. The inner strips of plywood would be right over the tank - or are some of the strips actually in the tank cover? I know there is plywood in the covers and those that I've had out were quite heavy and probably 3/4" thick or better. Not something I would do, but I've seen a lot of stuff screwed into the tank covers on quite a few 19's and 21's.

I added a link to the wood locating diagram for the OUTRAGE 21 at the REFERNCE article that categorizes on-line drawings.
